The Grey Wooded Forage Association is a non-profit organization for producers interested in profitable and environmentally sustainable grazing and forage production. Our office is located in Rocky Mountain House; from which we have been servicing Central Alberta for 32 years. The organization was started by a few farmers and ranchers who wanted to learn from each other and from their counterparts across the region. From these humble beginnings GWFA has become a major forage and livestock information provider servicing producers in six counties
GWFA covers a variety of production practises in the agricultural industry including: grazing management, bale grazing, swath grazing, riparian management, environmental sustainability, hay and silage production, and pasture rejuvenation. GWFA’s objective is to be instrumental in the transfer of quality, proven information throughout the industry.
Through GWFA’s Corporate Sponsor Program we form partnerships that enable us to fulfil these objectives. Our main goal is to protect our environment and enhance our communities through promoting sustainable agricultural practices. The corporate sponsor program is for companies, partnerships or corporations who wish to be identified as supporting the Grey Wooded Forage Association and its programs.
