The Grey Wooded Forage Association was established in 1984 by a group of cattle producers in West Central Alberta who wished to improve their grazing practices.
We work to create awareness of the uses and potential uses of forages and to share information on a variety of production practices in the livestock and forage sector:
- Grazing Management
- Riparian Management
- Environmental Sustainability
- Grass Production
- Pasture and Perennial Forage Regeneration
GWFA association serves members in Clearwater County, Mountain View County, Red Deer County, Lacombe County, Ponoka County and the County of Wetaskiwin.
GWFA hosts a variety of new and ongoing projects and hosts events and pasture walks throughout the year.
Our Summer Showcase and Annual General Meeting are typically held in late spring or early summer.
Please contact us if you would like information about becoming a director or joining one of our committees.
